Paris Police Reports February 27, 2023

Monday, February 27, 2023 at 11:16pm: Paris Police Officer initiated a traffic stop in the 200 block of SW 7th Street on a vehicle for having a defective passenger side brake light and made contact with the driver, who identified himself as Anthony Fletcher with a date of birth year of 1973. Fletcher was checked through dispatch and returned with an outstanding Parole Warrant and an outstanding Collin County Warrant with a date of birth year of 1972. Fletcher stated multiple times that his date of birth year was 1973. Officer received a photo for comparison from Dispatch and 50-year-old Anthony Bernard Fletcher of McKinney was placed into custody for the Parole Violation Warrant and Fail to ID Fugitive Intent Give False Info. Collin County did not confirm their warrant. Fletcher was transported to the Paris PoliceDepartment and booked in without incident.

Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 01:58am: Paris Police Officers responded to the 2700 block of Lamar Avenue in reference to a burglar alarm. Store surveillance video showed two slim unidentified individuals walking on the east side of the building. The taller individual threw an object breaking the glass in the front door then entered the store, followed by the other individual. Both subjects were wearing black mask that covered their face from the nose down. Display racks holding watches and vape cigarettes were knocked over on the counter and the floor. A large piece of concrete was located inside. Store rep estimates 50 vape cigarettes were stolen, totaling in value of $1000.00. The burglary is under investigation.

Monday, February 27, 2023: The Paris Police Department responded to 66 calls for service and arrested 3 adult persons.
